Tom Brokaw's Book "The Time of our Lives" as seen on Good Morning America

"The Time of our Lives" by Tom Brokaw

The latest book by respected journalist Tom Brokaw explores the changes that America has undergone over the decades he has reported the news.

"The Time of our Lives"  begins with the simple sentence, "What happened to the America I thought I knew?"

Interestingly enough, this latest book written by Brokaw isn't one made to debate the political landscape as much as it is written as a memoir to his grandchildren describing how America has changed over the decades.
Each chapter begins with a box divided into two sections: Facts and Questions.
Some of the facts included in this book include:

  • Independent voters make up about 30% of the American electorate.
  • In 1999, only 1.2% of American Homes were in Foreclosure.
  • Daily newspapers penetrate less than 33% of the population 18 to 34 years of age.

"A conversation about America; who we are, where we've been, and where we need to go now, to capture the American dream."

For a fresh new perspective on America and the changes we have all undergone as a nation, read this book by Tom Brokaw. He is an American Icon with a unique outlook on our nation past, present and into the future.
